About Strike or Submit MMA Training
MMA, or Mixed Martial Arts, has become a very popular sport over the past decade. Each year, there are huge increases in the number of people who watch MMA events live and on TV, as well as the thousands who decide to start training.
MMA is exactly what it says on the tin – a mixture of different martial arts combined to create the total package. It’s exciting to watch, a superb way to keep fit and a great way to meet new and like-minded people.
At Strike or Submit, our philosophy is simple. We aim to bring out the best in everyone who walks through the door, whatever your goals or purpose for training. We have created a family environment that makes training sessions fun, supportive and motivational (as well as hard!). Our members are aged from 15 to 58, come from a range of backgrounds, and have different abilities and levels of fitness.
All of our members come to us to improve technically, physically and mentally. We believe in every individual and will help you achieve your goals and aspirations. We encourage you to recognise and embrace your weaknesses (we all have them!) and become a better person, as well as a better fighter.

What will I learn at strike or Submit?
A good MMA fighter has solid, all-round skills in striking and grappling, with a good knowledge of submission holds (and how to get out of them!). At Strike or Submit we offer training on all aspects of MMA training, as well as providing a good workout. When you join the Strike or Submit team, we will show you:

• The dominant control, take downs and defence of wrestling
• The finishing techniques of submission holds
• How to become an all-round better performer by improving your strength and conditioning
Amateur MMA Competition
We are developing a proud heritage of amateur competitors here at Strike or Submit. While some of our members train for fun and fitness, we have some great talent who have developed into serious competitors in just a short time.
Whether you’re just starting out with the intention of competing, or you already have some experience but want to take it to the next level, you can get the support and intense coaching you need to be ready for competitive MMA bouts. Some of our members have been ready for amateur fights after just four months of training, so if you’re looking to get ‘fight-ready’ then come and talk to the coaching team about your goals and experience.
